In this book, I will briefly discuss both the Western system of horse racing, including the Vedic Astrology method.

A Vedic Astrologer in India told me that I liked horses due to my Sidereal ascendant in Sagittarius, the Centaur, half man, half horse. I had never thought of it that way, but symbolism runs deep into the unconsciousness.

In “The Castle in the Forest” (Jung, Liber Secundus, page 230), he speaks of entering a castle (obviously a dream), knocks on the door, enters upon having permission of a servant, is led upstairs, meets an old man with lots of books, who is studying the sciences, which opens the doors of knowledge (Jung, page 220-232). In the same manner, astrology, especially when concentrating on a daunting list of horses that could win or lose, is blind without being let in by the open mind (the servant), which allows us to meet the old man (wisdom) through the discovery of passages of books. One can interpret the passage how they wish, but I feel this way is a possibility.
